Richard Williams, B.S., E.A., PA

Richard Williams is a Tax Practitioner and Paralegal. He owns the financial service business, Far North Tax Service, and resides in Anchorage, Alaska.

As a licensed IRS Enrolled Agent, his practice focuses on individual, small business, fiduciary, and international tax returns, and representation. He also performs bookkeeping services for the purpose of reconciling information to prepare clients tax returns. He has over seven years’ experience in preparing tax returns and as an Enrolled Agent he is permitted to represent clients on tax issues before the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN).

Richard is a graduate of Excelsior College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He is a lifelong learner and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in accounting. Richard is also a graduate of Blackstone Career Institute where he was trained as an Advanced Paralegal with a focus in administrative, accounting, and tax issues for estates and trust.

Richard has extensive training in individual, small business, fiduciary, and international tax issues. Throughout his career in taxation, he has been trained on various tax issues by various organizations including the Internal Revenue Service, Blackstone, Surgent, the University of Illinois Gies School of Business, Eastern Washington University, the Association of International Certified Public Accounts, Grant Thornton, and others.

Prior to entering the finance field, he was employed as a quality system manager in the OEM automotive parts manufacturing and food manufacturing industries, in regulatory compliance for the State of Alaska, as a support team member on an oil exploration platform in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, in the Arctic Circle, and in various positions as a defense contractor on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

His associations include the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the National Association of Tax Professionals, the Association of International Certified Public Accounts, the Information System Security Association International (ICS)2, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Fleet Reserve Association.
